This new software (Postmill from the leftys at Raddle) is very similar to the reddit software you've probably used before, but there's a few things to be aware of:
Only one kind of post, and you can combine a link url and a text body
Instead of having separate text and link post types, there's just one type of post. You can make bizarre fraken-posts that have a post with a url and a text body. I don't like this, but I can also see a few cases where it's useful. If you use it in a confusing way I'll get cross and bark at you.
You can edit titles!
Please only use this power for good.
Very very nested threads are impossible to read
Unlike reddit software we don't have a way to hide threads that get a certain number of levels deep, so they end up getting smushed on smaller screens. It's tumblr in 2012 round here.
It's also worth noting that you can't collapse threads.
You can change a ton about the CSS theme
Go to user settings in the upper right and check out the appearance settings. There's two checkboxes that give you a night mode and let you turn on and off the different CSS themes for different subforums. There's also a drop down for "preferred theme", but there isn't much in there yet. That's because you can make your own themes by going to /themes and making your own from scratch! I don't know if anyone is actually gonna make any but it's such a cool feature.
There's no reports, you gotta message the mods themselves
For right now the processes is basically just message me lol
Otherwise the software is mostly the same, and I really really like it it's nice. It'll also likely gain features over time. We'll let you know what changes!
Thank you for posting!

One little thing:
In general you shouldn't leave yourself logged into any website on a shared computer, but that is doubly the case here because postmill doesn't require your old password before changing it to a new one. I definitely get why, being able to change my password even if I forgot the old one would have saved my ass many times, and it's not like someone can't already do a lot of damage if they see someone logged in like that. But it's a quirk I feel worth pointing out!
If something like that happens to you, let us know and we'll do what we can to sort it out.
