All the actors act weird, almost like it's either bad-acting or really-good-acting playing a particular character.

The first episode is about the death of a highschool girl, and the mom and dad are understandably destroyed with grief, but everyone else has the same level of grief. Like, it doesn't make sense for everyone to have such an emotional connection to some girl.

And then some other very slightly odd things. Everything just seems a little teensy bit off.

Maybe it's because I know Twin Peaks is highly reputable, or maybe everything is just really well put together.

The acting is just what tv soap operas of the era are like. It's not realistic to how people act but it's not a parody either, Twin Peaks is an extremely genuine show.

I mean, it's camp but I encourage you to not approach it with ironic detachment. I love Twin Peaks so much Lol
