love that Mank

it doesn't feel like a real movie but it's good. David Fincher took his dad's passion project, conspiracy obsessed screenplay about how Orson Wells didn't actually write Citizen Kane, and turned it into a shockingly sentimental biopic about the co-screenwriter that comes to a much milder conclusion. it's very meta but in a cozy way. it's secretly centered on an election, I couldn't have handed it if I watched it a month ago. good movie
