Roopkund Lake (wikipedia) is a tiny lake in the Himalaya mountains that has hundreds of human skeletons at its edge and studies are conflicting about their date and ancestry. This recent study (which conflicts with past studies) examined 38 remains and found 24 individuals had South Asian ancestry and died around 800 CE, and 14 had eastern Mediterranean ancestry and died around 1800 CE -- so if I understand correctly this is the first study suggesting there were somehow two separate events that occurred at the lake.
