i think for most people working from home is way more efficient for all parties involved. i feel like a lot of offices don't even really have any solid reason to exist anymore except that forcing you to stay looking busy reassures the capitalists

While I'd agree for a lot of offices, most of my coworkers seem to be terrible at communicating via slack or email which is really unfortunate. Part of it is language barrier as many of them are from outside the US and part of it is I don't know what the heck.

oh yeah language barriers are hard. and you definitely have to work to transition people used to working in offices toward a different culture around communication, one that prioritizes asynchronous methods like chat/IM over things like voice calls. i can see why it would be difficult
