I think we've got a few people who watched and uh... am I the only person who thought the chimera ant arc was a bit of a slog? Like it's really good and the latter parts/ending have some enormously great payoffs but I feel like it takes a little too long to get to that point.

If it makes a difference I'm talking about the anime rather than the manga.

You're not the only one, lol. That's largely a source material problem, as the manga got indulgent, dense, and hard to follow at this point. The arc had a significantly worse reputation until the anime, where it was slow but at least you had a reasonable chance of actually understanding it. I do love it a lot tho

And it would be hell just reading it monthly. Then there are the hiatuses on top of that.

I was reading through it all a second time and the difference was huge. I could actually follow what was happening lol.
