Yeah.

I do think there is a moral quality to the individual use. I don't think it bears repeating all the Reasons LLMs Are Bad. But on top of that, Elon Musk's Grok is being used to kill school children, generate child porn, and push Hitler-praising propaganda to the nazis on X. I think we can talk about the evils which come of an individual using Grok, compared to those of an individual using Claude, compared to those of someone abstaining.

On that topic, I think the way we measure these things is out of wack. Just in terms of technologies people use, young queers in the US practically mandate the use of Meta to be included in their social circles. That's bonkers evil genocide-blind Hitler Youth shit with harms a thousand times more than someone having a blast chatting it up with an LLM. Maybe there's something to be said about resisting a new bad technology intruding into our lives.

And I think we've seen pretty conclusively that purity cultures are wholly counterproductive to anything good, and it just makes for a chilling effect that prevents potential good-actors from doing anything useful, turning them into fertile doormats for everyone else. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised that we're still doing purity culture stuff but man.

This is all a bunch of words from me to say that I completely agree. The proportionate attention we assign to these things is all out of wack.

I hope you don't mind me responding with agreement and some riffing. I figure it's good to keep spoilers contained. I agree with much of this.

"One last adventure" is news to me, having had not kept up with the fandom. I appreciate that the fandom jokes in the game were entirely legible to me ("pacifist root" hahahhaha).

I think of Deltarune as a vehicle for Fox's silly and fun ideas that didn't fit in Undertale, and I am admittedly not so invested in the lore. So I really appreciate when huge lore moments are also silly, even when entirely serious in universe ("Flowery. Green. Yellow. Orange. Blue. Aqua. Seth.") The six SOULs really captivated a lot of my mind a decade ago and it really is satisfying to finally get to see them in any context.

That said, this looks like the first time the "Side B" route has been referenced in canon. That is Very Homestuck and I am eager to see what the fuck happens here. Maybe that supplants "Genocide Route" here.

Anyways, I really appreciated the big blinking screaming "Ralsei is transgender" sign.

I mean, I've been writing and playing with my own language models and others since 2017. Old SpaCy with a NN in the loop, BERT, ChatGPT 2, etc. I've very well familiar with how much of the output comes from my x is in f(h,x;ϴ).

I've used Claude and other models about enough. But 'agentic AI' is something specifically I have used but dislike enough that I still don't have a use for it.

The problem in this case specifically was that the response I got from the CEO was probably AI, the assignment I got was AI generated, and there was just so much nonsense throughout the process. Felt silly for giving it much of my time.

Claude turns people absolutely insane because they get obsessed with "The Signal" and typing. Like. This.

Claude turns me insane because, despite having had derived ego death as a middle schooler and gone through all that existential crisis, the way people use Claude makes me so disillusioned with the world. At least there's something nobly human in the most grim aspects of war and exploitation. But I think I don't even want to be here any more

I am using Claude to cheat by asking it to look at the assignment and tell me how to use Claude on the assignment. If this gets me the job then I think I might have to go away badly
