i was concerned before that international powers unilaterally invading other nations to kidnap their leaders was Bad. but it turns out the leader is Bad! thank you for contributing to the national conversation. we really haven't been talking enough about which foreign leaders are Bad. as a sensible political observer you might think that kidnapping world leaders is Bad. but we all have to be grown ups and stop talking about that. instead, have you considered that the kidnapped world leader is Bad?

it drives me nuts the way the opposition can't just say "trump shouldn't do that."
"Listen Maduro was a horrible awful dictator whom we HATE, but what trump did raises troubling questions about international law."
The same with Mahmoud Khalil. "Mahmoud khalil said unacceptable things* that NONE of us should support. BUT his arrest raises troubling questions about due process."
Their opposition is always falling over themselves to say that what trump did is directionally right but they quibble with the process. It's worse than useless; it ends up coming off as being mad that he did a good thing, when what he's doing is bad all around.
