"i can't pay attention if it's not sang to me in a spongebob/miku duet" but for real: i think if your initial exposure to this song was like, passive (having it play in the background, on the top 40 radio and whatnot), you'd condition yourself not to listen closely; your minds files it under "pop dreg". listening to it in a different context allows you to pay attention to things that you didn't before, e.g., the god dangned lyrics

in some of the more drawn out lines the nasally tones in the spongebob ai voice are like, damningly similar to those of a b-tier early 90s emo/math rock band vocalist

also i think that the original song is quite compelling so even though i was listening to spongebob ai voice i was like "damn bro i sympathise with you and understand why you feel wronged even though i dont think hatsune miku necessarily did anything wrong in this situation" before remembering that this is Somebody That I Used to Know Spongebob Squarepants Hatsune Miku Cover

i like and respect that they stay in the same tempo throughout

sometimes with long metal songs they play 3 different songs in a row and call it one song and that's a valid way to go about it, but i've been thinking that i want to hear a 10-minute song that is just one song, and this is exactly it, so thank you for sharing !

i've been meaning to check out their free album; only getting around to doing it now. they described it as an album that "really match winter"; though it's been quite warm around here these past few, it's a really nice listen still! just some really nice, chill, bgm-style tracks.

i kind of put my emo phase (in the sense of enjoying the aesthetics and subculture but not really participating in it) behind me as i grew up and rarely if ever listen to the music of that era any more but when i do i can feel awfully nostalgic in a way that i don't get for other music. i totally hated my life back then, in ways that aren't really familiar or pertinent to me now, but sometimes i wish i could go back and be that person again. sorry to hear that you're having a rough go of things right now. sometimes you just gotta sing along to an entire album alone in your car

unfortunately it takes me about three or four years to listen to an album because i am bad at keeping track :( the latest mg album i listened to was goths or the wrestling one, whichever is newer
