I was feeling nostalgic about those a e s t h e t i c Steven Universe vines I found and how could I even find them now? They're all covered by meme vine compilations and the Vine site has no search now.

They worked so well as cinematographs as well.

Ok maybe they weren't so good but dangit I liked them for a little while and that's all that matters.

I saw a good post a bit ago along the lines of, "with the internet we have to deal with the risk that anything, once posted, might be there forever, but we can never RELY on it." it's kind of the worst of both worlds. no guarantee of ephemerality, no guarantee of permanence, and we have no real control over which one it turns out to be

Yes that's very well put. My corollary would be that if it is there forever, you might still not find it.

just buy all SU episodes on dvd, watch them through to find all the pretty shots and upload them yourself!!

*Blu-ray (I won't settle for less), though half of the thing is that the clips were pretty perfectly chosen and had sweet sweet gentle lo fi sadness pushing through.
