I actually think maintaining a bike is one if the most fun parts, unironically.
Most basic stuff on a bike just takes a few minutes and the more complex stuff, when I'm done I feel so accomplished, I've made the bike more a reflection of myself. I love the feeling that anything that goes wrong with it, I know how to fix and since I've owned this bike, i have done all the maintenance other than truing the wheels.

I share this sentiment from when I biked. It feels like one of those romantic things, like looking wistfully out the window during a train ride or sipping tea and reading a book as rain batters outside.
