making rhubarb candy

my parents got these monster rhubarbs growing right next to the compost. theyre so big you can use their leaves as an umbrella and pretend to be a little forest creature. I pulled a couple out of the ground to make something with.
As a byproduct from the aforementioned candymaking I also ended up with a rhubarb syrup and its the most delicious thing ive tasted lol.

theyre very tart! and with a bit of a fruity flavor, almost like a very sour green apple. I really like sour stuff so I don't mind just eating it raw (in small bites), but normal people almost always have them with a bit of sugar or use them to bake a pie or something.
