I got super into reading as a kid but my younger brother didn't and my parents got a magnetic toy called the "Leap Pad" which would read books to you, but also let you touch the word to speak it out loud
I forget who it was, but I suspect it was my older brother, who took it and immediately started whipping out bangers like "Christopher Robins dreams of eating Pooh!"
The way it worked, you were limited to the sparse contents of one page. But when I discovered YTPs they blew my mind
