apparently it's a chain restaurant. not sure why americans are so concerned about it. seems to be a big deal. is cracker barrel related to crate and barrel? i'm sure i'll find out against my will at some point.

Nobody actually cares, it's just extremely online manufactured outrage. I think if I walked up to someone on the street and asked what they thought of it they would either not know what that was or be annoyed at me for asking.

It's a fake controversy so right wing pundits have something to talk about. The same as the Sidney Sweeney jeans ad: nobody gave a shit at all, until the right wing outrage machine started insisting that The Left was melting down about it. They weren't, but they managed to force it in to the public conversation. When I first heard the ad my immediate reaction was to roll my eyes and say "oh for fuck's sakes." But that was it.
