drew the green, yellow, blue, and pink lines, and maroon dots. Added each layer trying to find a color to match what was there so far.
Added the gray parts to add contrast to the background, then later moved that above pink to break up the texture. Added thicker lines, mostly between the gray, later darkening to increase contrast with foreground.
Added different shades of most colors on top of each to make them more distinct, then extended around the ends. Did the same with blue instead of just being under green.
Tried out a few dark shades for the background. Slowly added dots above everything.
