I think it's self evident that the advance of AI is proliferating a model of life where thought is outsourced to machines but that's not the interesting part of this article. The way the author describes the experience of being in San Francisco and the Chotinerian way these AI people reveal their pathos to him... It makes me think about that picture of the bolshevik in the winter palace. But the palatial opulence of today is just Waymos and company gyms. They're doing all this shit for nothing

i think they should be forced to become street sweepers and janitors like the last emperor of China. on the other hand their diets of Huel and adderall is probably load bearing at this point. if you take that away theyll probably blow away with the wind
